Echo Musique

Écho Musique is aimed at emerging and mid-career professionals who want to benefit from strategic coaching to advance a career in the music industry.

Through 15 sessions, you'll be guided by industry experts, with structured coaching, mentoring and opportunities to connect with industry professionals.

The program concludes with a presentation of your project in front of a panel of experts, a unique opportunity to hone your pitch, attract potential partners and solidify your trajectory in the music industry.

Target audience

Candidates aged 21 and over, Emerging and mid-career professional and entrepreneurial artists in the music field, Canadian citizens or permanent residents.

Do you work in the music industry and have a project you'd like to structure and develop? Are you looking to better understand the inner workings of the industry, expand your network and refine your vision to bring a music-related initiative to fruition?

Écho Musique is for emerging and mid-career professionals who want to develop their career or create an artistic support project.

Eligibility criteria
  • Be a member or descendant of black communities 
  • Must be at least 21 years old
  • Canadian citizenship or permanent resident status
  • Have a project in development, either to structure and advance your own career as an independent artist, or to lead an initiative to support the development of other artists.
  • Reside in the province of Quebec
  • Be recognized as a professional by your peers
  • Have produced at least one musical project presented in a professional context
  • Be available to participate in the face-to-face program for its entire duration 
  • If your mother tongue is English, bilingualism is an asset, as the training will be in French only.

To submit your application

Step 1: Register!

It's time to fill in the registration form. To complete it, you'll need to submit:

  • Your CV
  • A maximum 3-page document presenting: 1) your project, 2) its objectives, 3) the people involved, 4) an idea of the costs, 5) a general schedule (without too many details, because the program is there to help you structure it!) and 6) the aspects that Écho Musique can help you with.
  • A video of less than 5 minutes in which you: 1) introduce yourself, 2) tell us about your career in the music industry, 3) explain your project and the challenges you face, and 4) explain why Écho Musique is essential to helping you make it a reality.
  • An extract from an example project (optional)
  • A link to project examples (optional) 

Step 2: Introduce yourself!

In the form, send us a short video presentation. It's your chance to shine! Tell us about yourself, your background, what made you want to become a music professional, what makes you unique, and why you want to join our program.

Step 3: Confirm your registration

Once you've submitted the form, you'll see a message confirming that your application has been successful.

Step 4: Evaluating your application

Once you have submitted your application, our team will carefully analyze your file, taking into account your background, your commitment and your development potential.

We'll also look at your artistic achievements, your professional vision and your motivation for joining the program. We're looking for candidates who are ready to invest themselves fully in this experience. 

Each application will be carefully and rigorously evaluated.

Step 5: Update your registration

We'll keep you informed of the progress of your application by e-mail. Selected applicants will be contacted by e-mail between May 26 and May 30, 2025. Stay tuned!
