With the help of our workshops in writing, illustration, publishing and more, explore the many facets of the author's craft.

At the end of the program, you'll share an excerpt from your masterpiece with an audience at a public reading in a literary landmark. 

Target audience

Candidates aged 18 and over. Aspiring writers, experienced or novice, with a work permit or Canadian resident status. Residents of the Island of Montreal.

Eligibility criteria
  • Must be at least 18 years old
  • Residing on the Island of Montreal
  • Identify as a person from the Black, Francophone or Anglophone communities
  • Possess a work permit or Canadian resident status
  • Be an aspiring writer or have a strong interest in literature 
  • Be available to participate actively for the duration of the program 
  • Ability to follow courses in French
  • Be willing to work as part of a team, receive constructive criticism, and develop your creative writing skills by actively attending classes and participating in program activities.

Step 1: Register!

It's time to fill in the registration form.

Step 2: Introduce yourself!

In the form, include your CV, a synopsis of your project, a presentation of your project idea, a statement explaining the impact of your project and its unique contribution to today's world, a timeline for your project and an estimated budget. 

Want to stand out from the crowd? Don't hesitate to insert an excerpt or chapter as an example! Show your personality through your application. Tell us about yourself and why you want to be a writer.

Step 3: Confirm your registration

Once you have submitted the form, a confirmation message will appear to confirm that your application has been received.

Step 4: Evaluating your application

Once you've submitted your application, our team will review the details of your shared documents. Through your documents, we'll assess your creativity, writing style and editorial skills. We're looking for candidates who are ready to commit themselves fully to this program. Rest assured that we take the time to analyze each application carefully.

Step 5: Update your registration

We'll keep you informed of the progress of your application by e-mail. Selected applicants will be contacted by telephone between September 13 and 20, 2024. Stay tuned!
