An incredible day of filming for 3 young people from our communities!

30/11/2023

Our partnership with Mondel L'Atelier du Cinéma is a great opportunity to introduce Afro-descendant talent to the technical professions of the television and film worlds.

On November 16, Léa Dorcy, Jules Nerestant, and Aimé Michel Bahufite (who came expressly from Quebec City to take advantage of this opportunity), had the unique chance to observe the different trades on a film set. They were able to experience all the preparations involved in capturing a scene for a film, to see the enormous amount of work involved in lighting it, and to analyze the type of camera to choose for the production. Accompanied by current students in the school's program, they were also able to put all their questions to instructors and luminaries in the field who were delighted to welcome them!

Aspiring filmmaker Loïk André, who has worked on a number of filming and editing projects for Fondation Dynastie, also had the opportunity to take part in an internship as an assistant technician, assembling cameras on set.

We invite you to relive the day by watching the following video.
