ABOUT THE SOMMET DYNASTIE

Launched in 2022, the Sommet Dynastie was born out of a desire to address the issues of inclusion and representation of Afro-descendants in Quebec's cultural, artistic and media industries. Conceived as a two-day immersive experience, it is a space for reflection, co-construction and innovation to propel creators and foster the production of cultural goods.

Through inspiring panels, enriching discussions and interactive workshops led by leading experts, the Summit aims to build a sense of community, promote the equitable distribution of resources and transform cultural and media ecosystems.

The first edition made its mark with the publication of the Black Book, a manifesto of reflections and recommendations for a more inclusive and equitable future in these sectors.

ABOUT THE FONDATION DYNASTIE

The Fondation Dynastie works for more equitable and meaningful representation of black communities in the arts, culture and media. Through various cultural mediation initiatives, the organization seeks to break down barriers, create opportunities that promote the visibility and recognition of talent from these communities, and reduce inequalities in the representation of black communities in the cultural and media sectors. The Foundation also supports the development and professionalization of emerging talent.
