Mandate

Reporting to the Leadership of the Programs and Outreach Department, the incumbent oversees the identification of candidates, nominations, jury management and the ambassador program for the Dynasty Gala. It plays a crucial role in recognizing the talents of Black communities in Quebec.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develops and implements the processes for identifying and appointing candidates
  • Develops and implements an ambassador program
  • Carries out the most in-depth identification possible of potential profiles that may be eligible for evaluation by the jury
  • Updates all profiles listed so far
  • Coordinates the planning and organization of the jury selection process
  • Ensures transparency and fairness in the appointment and selection process
  • Participates in the verification of applications to ensure that they meet the established criteria
  • Facilitates jury meetings and deliberations
  • Ensures communication with candidates and jurors throughout the process
  • Collaborates with the communications team to announce nominations and winners
  • Contributes to the documentation and follow-up of the jury's decisions.
  • Opportunities to see shows and concerts, to be in contact with agencies, performance halls, production houses, etc.

  • Assembles a diverse and impartial jury, ensuring transparency in the selection process
  • Develops the strategy for identifying potential candidates and ensures complete and representative coverage
  • Organizes and coordinates the appointment process, including the intake, verification and classification of applications
  • Supervises the working meetings related to the identification, appointments and selection of the jury, while ensuring the follow-up of decisions and mandates to be carried out
  • Facilitates the jury's discussion and evaluation of nominations
  • Drafts and submits reports on the appointment and selection process to management
  • Proposes continuous improvement strategies for the identification, appointment and selection process
  • Solicits stakeholder participation to achieve set goals
  • Develops and ensures the visibility and influence of current alumni and finalists through different mediums and initiatives
  • All other tasks related to the nomination and selection process for the Dynasty Gala.

Desired profile

  • Minimum of two (2) years of experience in project management, administration or related field
  • Bilingualism (French and English) essential (oral and written)
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills
  • Ability to quickly grasp and resolve issues
  • Knowledge of the cultural and communications environment
  • Organizational skills and excellent team spirit
  • Energy and enthusiasm in the performance of his various tasks
  • Autonomous, proactif.ve and attention to detail

Working conditions

  • Full-time: 35 hours/week
  • 3 days in person (Tuesdays and Thursdays) and a floating day
  • Weekly follow-up in person or virtually with the Executive Director and/or the Head of Programs and Outreach
  • Plan overtime according to the reality of the event
